Kumaon in Uttarakhand is one of the most lovely places in the Himalayas where I travel mostly in winter. However, nothing takes away anything from its charm in the spring or summer seasons. Even in the rainy season, Kumaon is magical, with clouds floating in the valley and dense green colors spread across miles.

Park is not only home to dense greenery and

Nainital is a town and headquarters of the
Nainital district of the Kumaon division,
Uttarakhand, India. Commonly known as the
Lake District, it is the most visited hill station in
North India. Nainital is a glittering jewel in the
Himalayan necklace, blessed with scenic natural
splendor and varied natural resources. Dotted
with lakes, derives its name from the emerald,
glassy, eye-shaped lake (tal) which the town is
built around.

Spectacular sunrises. Almora is known for its
rich cultural heritage, unique handicrafts, and
delicious cuisine. Many routes that go deeper
into the Himalayas starting from Almora, and
there are also single-day to weekend treks
near the town. Almora is also popular for
mountain biking, Since it is easy to reach
Almora and it is at a relatively low altitude,
one does not need too much training to bike
here. Many shops and resorts rent bikes by
the hour or by the day, and you can also enjoy
cycling across the rugged mountain paths.

Chaukori is a tiny hill station in the Pithoragarh

Himalayan Range in the Kumaon Division of
Uttarakhand which offers a spectacular view of
the gorgeous Nanda Devi. Surrounded by
towering Himalayan peaks and lush forests,
Chaukori is an idyllic tourist destination. The Hill
station is covered with forests of deodar, pine,
rhododendron, and fruit orchards. The town is
situated at an altitude of almost 2010 m above
sea level.
Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a limestone cave temple
14 km from Gangolihat in the Pithoragarh district
of Uttarakhand. Legend and folklore have it that
this cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty-three
koti demigods. It is s one of the most mysterious
and spiritual places in Uttarakhand. it is a tiny
village in the Pithoragarh district set among the
lofty peaks, of the western Himalayan Range in
the Kumaon Division. It is a cave complex that is
as old as the Earth itself. This fantastic relic
dating from the Satyug denotes the story of the
the world as enshrined in Hindu philosophy and
is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to
